Independent Study

The following are guidelines for Independent Study:

• Your student must be gone for at least 3 days.
• A request for an Independent Study contract needs to go to your student’s teacher at least 2 weeks in advance.
• An Independent Study Contract needs to be in place prior to the absence and signed by all parties (Teacher, Principal, Parent and Student)
• Students must finish all assigned work to receive credit.  

Please remember that even though an Independent Study is a great tool, it can mislead people. Important classroom instructional time is missed while your student is away.  Being in class is always best!
