Is there a quick link you would like to see on the home page? A school event that we may have missed? How about the inevitable misspelling? Your comments, corrections and insight are always welcome. The only thing we ask is your patience the first few months after launch. You can email the Apple Blossom Webmaster at email@example.com and thank you for looking!
From the Principal's Desk
The Apple Blossom Staff welcomes you to the 2016-17 school year. We especially extend a hearty greeting to our new and kindergarten families. Our talented staff has been working diligently to offer students an exciting and challenging program. Over the summer improvements have been made to the campus and upgrades to the technology infrastructure. We look forward to many traditional autumn events such as the Walkathon/Jogathan, Halloween Carnival, Disco Dance and Student Council sponsored celebrations. Please join us to share our excitement. We wish you a fantastic year!
Apple Blossom's Vision
The mission of Apple Blossom School is to nurture our students’ creative and critical thinking, academic proficiency, global awareness, appreciation for diversity and respect for themselves and others in a continually changing technological world. By experiencing a project-based curriculum, Apple Blossom students prosper from the integration of art, music, gardening, science, technology and physical education into the fabric of a rich and rigorous program founded on high academic standards in all subject areas. Our vision acknowledges and celebrates parent and community involvement as Apple Blossom students develop into responsible and resilient citizens who have a love of learning and who are prepared to make positive contributions in a complex world.
Ukulele coming to AB!
This past summer retired Apple Blossom Office Manager Alicia Lorenzoni entered a Kala Brand Music giveaway contest for ukuleles for schools. While she was in Oregon attending a ukulele festival, she found out that she won 30 ukuleles for Apple Blossom School! Retired second grade teacher Mary Grech Xuereb and Alicia have been going into a few classrooms each week since retirement playing and singing with the kids. Now they'll be able to introduce this fun-to-play instrument to several students! They're still developing the program and will be starting with third graders in October. As a thank you for this gift, please "like" Kala Brand Music on Facebook. Kala plans on offering free lesson videos on their new Learn to Play feature on their site:
Even in their retirement our fantastic retired staff members are giving back to Apple Blossom! Thank you to Mrs. Lorenzoni and Mrs. Xuereb! You're the BEST!
